Some of the narrowest paths lead to the most amazing views.⠀

Rarely does anyone accomplish something of significant worth and then look back and say, “Oh how did that happen? I just fell into that.” The reality is that they usually have spent countless hours toiling and climbing and sacrificing in order to get there. In fact, I believe those hours are precisely what makes the accomplishment have worth and what makes the view that much more amazing. Fortunately, there are usually a lot of spectacular views on the path along the way, too.⠀

As a volleyball coach, I have learned that championship teams don’t just happen. They take the right combination of people who are willing to take a path that is more narrow than comfortable, hours of work and sacrifice, the ability to enjoy the views of the process, and finally a little good fortune/grace along the way.⠀
