What Angle Are You Viewing From?

Perspective is an interesting thing. Merely viewing something from a different angle can present an entirely different picture.⠀

One of the reasons we love the views that mountain top experiences give us is that it gives us a perspective that allows us to see both where we have been and where we are going. The views in the valley often feel much more limited. This is true both figuratively and literally.⠀

As a leader, our job is to help others find the mountain top views even while in the valley. Helping others ‘see’ the small victories along the climb while keeping the path to the top in clear view is often easier said than done. However, anything less and we will stop climbing and miss the best views altogether.⠀

If you are currently in a valley, I challenge you to focus on ‘seeing’ your obstacle from the mountain top once you have overcome it. I promise the climb will be worth the view!
